Selective Mutism is an anxiety disorder characterized by the incapacity to speak in certain social situations despite of normal speech production in others. Compared to other mental disorders, selective mutism is highly understudied and undertreated. The webinar will give an overview of symptomatology, diagnostics and treatment approaches, taking into account the importance of cooperation between different mental health professionals and caregivers.
